Description
Thiacloprid is a neonicotinoid insecticide used to control a variety of sucking pests, including aphids, whiteflies, leafhoppers, and thrips. It is effective on a wide range of agricultural crops, including fruits, vegetables, and ornamentals, as well as in public health applications for controlling pests like mosquitoes and cockroaches.
Thiacloprid works by targeting the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the nervous system of insects, leading to overstimulation of the nerve cells, which causes paralysis and death of the insect. It is a systemic insecticide, meaning it is absorbed by plants and provides internal protection against pests.
