Description
Chlorpyrifos works by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme essential for nerve function, leading to the accumulation of acetylcholine at nerve synapses. This results in overstimulation of the insect's nervous system, causing paralysis and death. It is effective against a broad spectrum of pests, including insects that affect crops like corn, wheat, cotton, and fruits.
