It is a natural fermentation product which contains more than 80% abamectin B1a and less than 20% abamectin B1b. Abamectin 1.8% EC Information:

Mode of action: Insecticide and acaricide with contact and stomach action. Has limited plant systemic activity, but exhibits translaminar movement.  
Uses :Control of motile stages of mites, leaf miners, suckers, Colorado beetles, etc. on ornamentals, cotton, citrus fruit, pome fruit, nut crops, vegetables, potatoes, and other crops. Application rates are 5.6 to 28 g/ha for mite control, 11 to 22 g/ha for control of leaf miners. Also used for control of fire ants. 
Phytotoxicity :May be phytotoxic to pome fruit when mixed with captan.
The preparation is a kind of insecticide with good control effect. Besides stomach toxicity, it also has strong penetration and good stability in plants. It has good control effect on aphids on cucumber.

What pests does abamectin 1.8 ec work against?

Abamectin 1.8 ec is refined by microbial fermentation and refined antibiotic insecticides and acaricides, which can effectively repel phytophagous mites, Lepidoptera, Homoptera, and other pests. For example Plutella xylostella, cabbage caterpillars, leaf miners, red spiders, mites, rice left folder, cockroaches, ostrinia nubilalis, ants, white spiders, spider rust, psyllids, aphids, scale insects, etc.
It is a new broad-spectrum, high-efficiency, low-toxic, pollution-free biological insecticide and acaricide. For best results, use abamectin when the leaves are young for better absorption into the leaf tissue. This will extend the remaining control period. As the leaves age and harden, they lose absorption of abamectin, and residual control is greatly reduced.

How Does Abamectin Work?

Mode of action: Abamectin attacks the nervous system of insects and mites, causing paralysis within a few hours. The paralysis cannot be reversed. Abamectin is active (stomach toxin) after consumption, although there is some contact activity. The maximum death rate occurs within 3-4 days.
 

Is abamectin safe for the environment?

Despite its high toxicity levels, avermectin has been extensively tested and declared safe for the environment.
Sources indicate that it is relatively safe for birds.
Under controlled conditions, the substance is harmless.
However, the product is dangerous to bees, especially after application to leaves.
The plant becomes safe after complete absorption of the ingredient.
