Biochemistry	Agonist of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, affecting the synapses in the insect central nervous system.
Mode of action	Control of aphids and whitefly in Rice ,vegetables, potatoes, ornamentals, cotton, deciduous and citrus fruit, tobacco and hops; both juvenile and adult stages are susceptible. Also control of planthoppers in rice.
Uses	Controls a range of sucking insects, such as whiteflies, plant bugs, leafhoppers and mealybugs; Coleoptera, such as Colorado Beetles and flea Beetles; Diptera, such as leaf miner flies; and certain Lepidoptera, such as fruit moths, in vegetables, fruit, paddy rice and turf.

Has no effect on nematodes and spider mites.Used as a seed dressing, as soil treatment and as foliar treatment in different crops, e.g. rice, cotton, cereals, maize, sugar beet, potatoes, vegetables, citrus fruit, pome fruit and stone fruit.
